That usually means an application: something with accounts, permissions, records that change over time, and an administrator who needs to fix a mistake at nine in the evening. The public pages are the easy part.
How we work
We start with a discovery week. No design, no code — we map the data, the roles, and the three or four flows that carry the business. It ends with a written architecture decision record: what we chose, what we rejected, and why. You keep that document whether or not you continue with us.
Build runs in two-week increments against a staging environment you can open at any time. There is no reveal at the end. You watch it get built.
What we optimise for
The second year. Anyone can ship something that works in month one. We write the boring version — explicit names, obvious control flow, tests around the parts that carry money — because the expensive part of software is the person who inherits it.
Real network conditions. Most of the traffic that matters is a mid-range phone on an uneven connection. We budget page weight the way you would budget anything else, and we measure on a throttled connection rather than a fibre line in the office.
A back office people will actually use. The admin panel gets the same design attention as the marketing site. If your team avoids it, the data rots, and the software stops being true.
Questions
Most business software does not need a client-side router. Server rendering gives you a first paint that survives a weak connection, search engines that can read the page, and a codebase one developer can hold in their head. We reach for a SPA when the interaction genuinely demands it — a dashboard with live data, a drawing tool — and not before.
Yes. The repository is yours from the first commit. We work in your organisation on GitHub or GitLab, and hand over deployment credentials at launch.
Thirty days of support are included. After that most clients move to a monthly retainer that covers dependency updates, security patches and a fixed allocation of change requests.
